Adieu beautiful soul! i miss your soothing words and the caring looks in your eyes as you say, “nneka it is well” especially when i was weighed down. you never got tired of my constantly seeking your counsel. as i stood by your bed side in the early hours of that fateful day and held your hands in prayer, little did i know that it was your last moment with me, you softly told me in your usual manner, “thank you nneka”. i had to peep into your office every day since your demise just to assure myself that i was not dreaming! what a rude shock! your gentle steps, faded! your gentle voice, faded! your gentle smile faded! but i can understand why god would want such a beautiful angel by his side from now until eternity. just know that i love and miss you dearly! nneka ifejika (chevron)

Tinu had a very quiet spirit and disposition that endeared her to all she met. I remember in all my interactions with Tinu she always had a smile on her face that was genuine and real. Tinu made the most important decision of accepting Jesus as her Lord and Saviour while she was alive and that is why I am confident that though she is passed from this world of pain and shame, she lives forever with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords in glory.

I received with much sadness this morning, news of the passing to glory of tinuade. i had not seen her since we left st. louis grammar school, ibadan in the late 1970s but i remember her very well as pretty, with an english accent and a gentle, quiet spirit. at this very sad hour, i pray that the god of comfort and peace through his son jesus christ will hold close to his heart each and every one of tinu’s family members.. in jesus name. amen. i pray that we all will look straight on at jesus who has gone ahead of us and that at the end of our sojourn here on earth we will be counted worthy to spend eternity with him.
